about

(Jimmy Heath)

Lucas Brown — "Jimmy Heath was someone I thought of pretty early on. This is a tune that not many people know and, ironically, it’s a saxophone-featured song. It’s a tune that I think is really beautiful, and I thought it would be nice to try something that other people wouldn’t have heard. I’ve played it lots with Bootsie Barnes. I learned the tune from him."
