Neil Podgurski — "I can’t remember which Sun Ra record it’s on, but Marshall Allen takes a solo on it, and it’s beautiful, like Bird. It’s like deep bebop, but it’s a beautiful ballad, and there is some kind of bell sound keeping time. There are drums, I think, but it’s a ballad. I just always dug Sun Ra...they sounded like a classic big band doing bebop, with beautiful arrangements. I liked the big band music, I liked the out stuff."
